EFFECTIVE July 1 to July 31 (inclusive)
Photo Radar will target high speed high volume roadways, construction, school, and playground zones throughout the City of Calgary. There will be a focus on MacLeod Trail and the Trans Canada Highway. There will be photo radar speed enforcement in the communities of Valley Ridge and Tuscany.
The Intersection Safety Cameras will be deployed at 48 intersections, focusing on red light enforcement. Intersection Camera locations can be located on the Calgary Police website.
Intersection Safety Cameras equipped with speed on green software will deploy at sites throughout the City of Calgary, targeting speeding vehicles at 11-12 intersections. Slow down as it is grad time and kids will be off school in all Calgary communities, adding to the number of pedestrians; watch out! Speeds in excess of 50 km/hr over the speed limit will result in an appearance before a judge.
Remember to drive defensively and watch out for pedestrians! Observe the rules of the road; stop for yellow and red traffic lights and be aware of the hazards at construction sites with or without workers present. Summer is here and be aware that kids will be in playgrounds; slow to 30 km/hr or less.

Intersection Safety Cameras
Intersection Safety Camera Locations
The Intersection Safety Camera program consists of more than 40 intersections monitored by cameras throughout the City of Calgary; in a continuing effort to promote safety and awareness in motorists at intersections. The Intersection Safety Cameras will be rotated into intersections that have experienced increases in collisions and violation rates.
