The Indigenous Advisory Circle (IAC) provides community-informed advice and perspectives to the Calgary Police Service (CPS), informed by lives experiences, knowledge and community connections. The IAC helps the CPS better understand Indigenous community concerns, priorities, barriers, opportunities and lived experiences, while supporting relationship-building and the implementation of the CPS Indigenous Roadmap.

The IAC serves in an advisory capacity. The Indigenous Relations Team co-ordinates and supports the work of the IAC under the oversight of the Staff Sergeant, Community Services Section. Advice and recommendations provided through the Circle are shared through appropriate CPS leadership and decision-making processes.
