The CPS Community Safety Dashboard is an interactive tool designed to provide a clear snapshot of crime and disorder trends across Calgary.
Updated on the fifth of each month, the dashboard helps residents explore reported incidents in their communities, compare data over time, and view geographic patterns.
*Note: This dashboard does not include all call and crime types. For more fulsome reporting, refer to the quarterly reports.
Accessiblity note: The CPS is committed to fostering a culture of respect, equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging, firmly rooted in our values. While we work diligently to identify, prevent and remove barriers to accessiblilty, we recognize that the interactive map functionality may present challenges for some users. We are working on addressing these limitations and remain committed to improving the accessiibility of our platform.
Dashboard details
- The dashboard includes reported crimes in key categories: violence and property.
- The dashboard does not include:
- Serious crimes like homicides, shootings and carjackings
- Traffic violations and collisions
- Rate per population is included for communities to account for differences in density.
- Vehicle crime reflects incidents involving vehicles, not just thefts.
- Only the most serious offence per incident is shown.
- Disorder-related calls for service are included (non-criminal incidents that impact safety).
- Seasonal trends, especially in disorder, are monitored by CPS analysts.
Data availability
- To protect privacy, data is shown at community, district and ward levels; domestic-related crimes are only shown at district and ward levels.
- While the CPS strives to publish information that is of interest to the public, certain information cannot be published, such as information on sex offenders. For more information, please see the Sex Offender Information Registration Act and Christopher’s Law.

Monthly Community Crime and Disorder Statistics are not available until the middle of the following month.
Quarterly Statistical Reports are not available until six to eight weeks after the quarter, due to report coding requirements.
