Domestic violence is any physical violence, verbal abuse, emotional abuse, stalking and harassment that occurs between family members or people in a relationship, including those related by virtue of children, marriage or adoption. It can happen in opposite sex and same-sex relationships, and both men and women can be victims. Resources are available to victims of domestic and family violence.
